Review: 2017 Mahindra Thar CRDe

Introduction
The Mahindra Thar is a compact and mid-size four-wheel drive off-road and “Jeep” (SUV), manufactured by Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The vehicle was launched in the Indian market on October 2010 to fill the void left by its predecessor the Mahindra MM540. The Thar has been voted one of the top 10 SUVs available in the Indian market. Three variants-DI 2WD, DI 4WD and CRDe, with available on soft top version. The Thar also comes with a 7-seater option, though it can be converted into a two seater. The That overall is considered a very unique vehicle. It is quite elegant for off roading and it has better design towards a Willy’s Jeep, compared to the Jeep Wrangler. However, the Thar is not street legal in the United States, particularly due to not having any safety features, airbags, and being able to properly see and feel the bare outer structure of the vehicle.
